Equestrian Facility - North County of San Diego

Artesian Valley Farm is an equestrian center located in Del Sur. Our warmblood breeding and training facility is nestled between Santa Luz and Rancho Santa Fe in North County of San Diego on the foothills of the Santa Fe Valley, a 700-acre open space preserve inter-connected by a coast to crest trail extending 65 miles from the Pacific Ocean to Volcano Mountain Wilderness Preserve. Niolo

Niolo is a 2018 Dutch Warmblood gelding. He looks pretty fancy with his 4 white socks and blaze on chestnut coat. He is playful and smart, standing at 17.0HH. He is a hunter prospect with 3 lovely and expressive gaits.

Sienna HSR

Sienna is a 2017 Oldenburg mare. She is light on her feet, responsive and high energy. She stands 17.1HH, and features 3 white socks on dark bay coat. She is a jumper prospect, jumping responsively and effortlessly, currently training at 1.0m.

Luna

Little Donkey, aka Luna, is a 2011 off-the-track thoroughbred (OTTB) foaled by Dr. Jerry Raskey. She ran and won her first race in 2014 ($16.7k purse). She was sold immediately after, got injured in training and never raced again. She is now fully rehabilitated, has a very sweet personality, and lots of go.

Storm

Storm is a 2011 quarter horse. He is a great ranch horse and loves to go on trails. Storm is beginner-safe, and has more whoa than go. He is protective of his friends in the pasture and likes to please his rider. He is gentle and curious.

Kanak

Kanak van de Beekhoeven is a 2010 Belgian Warmblood gelding. He had a successful career in Florida as a jumper, excelling at up to 1.35m. He has 3 beautiful gaits, flying changes and all the buttons you would expect for an experienced jumper. Kanak is our schoolmaster and he is being limited to jumping at 0.90m so that we can preserve him for years to come.

Tango Coco

Tango Coco is a 2023 filly out of Bijou and Wild Dance. With exceptional dressage bloodlines, "Coco" was accepted in the A registry of KWPN-NA. We are expecting her to grow around 16.2HH and excel both in dressage and hunter-jumper. She is living the good life in the pasture with her friends.

Bijou

Bijou is a 2006 Dutch Warmblood. She is a broodmare and comes from an impressive dressage lineage. Her sire Ijsselmeer was a Grand Prix dressage champion from 2005 to 2008. He received an enviable "A" rating at his stallion licensing, featuring a 9.5 on character. He is the only approved KWPN "Gelders" in the US.

Ischia

Ischia is a 2019 working ranch dog. She is playful, alert and muscular (110 pounds). She shares a pen with a herd of sheep. Ischia doesn't like to fetch the ball; she prefers to run around the ranch, chase after hares, spot snakes and scare off coyotes.
